Scholarship Applications at Mentone Grammar Now Open

    preuni STTCMentone Grammar awards a limited number of Academic and General Excellence Scholarships to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and success in several fields of endeavour related to school life. The year levels offered and number of scholarships awarded each year for Academic and General Excellence is dependent upon the quality of the applicants and the availability of places. All applicants for Academic and General Excellence Scholarships will be required to sit an ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research) scholarship test at Mentone Grammar in February of the year prior to entry.Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview. Scholarships are awarded at the sole discretion of the Principal.

     

    All applicants have to provide a Scholarship Portfolio. The portfolio must be delivered to Mentone Grammar reception prior to 5pm Friday 3 February 2017, addressed to the Scholarship Administrator (Mentone Grammar, Att. Scholarship Administrator, 63 Venice Street, Mentone, VIC, 3194). Please provide a hard copy portfolio (not electronic). Please note that the School does not take responsibility for any lost or damaged items provided in the portfolio. The portfolio will not be returned, please do not include original documents.

     

    Please include the following A4 sized documents:

    • Cover letter with statement of why applicant wishes to attend Mentone Grammar. (Performing Arts Scholarship Applicants please also include how you would like to be involved in the performing arts life at Mentone Grammar. Your approach to performing arts practice and what you aim to achieve in the performing arts)
    • Mentone Grammar Scholarship Portfolio Cover Sheet with Applicant and Parent/Guardian Details
    • Copies of two most recent school reports
    • Copy of most recent NAPLAN result
    • Copies of any other achievements (Performing Arts Scholarship Applicants please include performing arts achievements such as awards, competitions, compositions and history of achievements)
