Registration is now open for students in Year 8 in 2016 wishing to take the test for Year 9 SEAL in 2017 at Box Hill High School.
The Select Entry Accelerated Learning (SEAL) is a special program designed for academically gifted children. The central aim of the SEAL program is to provide educational experiences of an appropriate type and quality for that group of children identified through the selection procedures as having exceptional academic ability. These students are capable of high academic performance and will benefit from an accelerated and enriched learning program.
The examination will be held on Monday, 24 October 2016.
There is a registration fee of $100. Payment is made at the end of the registration process online.
Applications close on Friday, 14 October 2016. However, applications received on or after this date will be charged a late fee of $250. The final closing date is Monday, 17 October 2016.
PLEASE NOTE: APPLICANTS WHO HAVE SAT AN EDUTEST EXAMINATION PRIOR TO JUNE 22nd ARE ELIGIBLE TO SIT THIS TEST. RESULTS FROM EXAMINATIONS HELD EARLIER THIS YEAR CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED.
If the candidate is currently not enrolled at BHHS, then in addition to completing this online application, in Term 4 and prior to the test date they must provide to Ms Dianne Trengove, Enrolment Officer, the following documentation:
- Photocopies of the candidate’s two most recent school reports (other than Language School)
- Photocopies of the most recent NAPLAN results
- 2 photographs of the candidate (passport size if possible)
- Proof of birth date of candidate, i.e. certified copy of birth certificate. If the country of birth is not Australia, also supply a passport with the relevant visa or proof of Australian citizenship. Original passport may need to be presented in person at the school.
